Uganda is a democratic Republic influenced by the national armed forces. Located in Eastern Africa, Uganda is landlocked between Sudan at the North, Kenya at the East, Tanzania and Rwanda at the South,  and the Democratic Republic of the 

Congo at the West. Prosperous country in its accession to independence, in 1962, first spared ethnic and political tensions Uganda has experienced , from 1967, deadly conflicts and then a long dictatorship.

The population is 38 844 624 with over 1 600 000 living in the capital Kampala.

The economy of Uganda is based on agriculture, expecially Coffee. The currency is Uganda Shilling 

English is the official language , taught in grade schools, used in courts of law and by most newspapers and some radio broadcasts, Ganda or Luganda is  preferred for native language publications in the capital and may be taught in school. Other Niger-Congo languages, Nilo-Saharan languages, Swahili, Arabic are spoken.
